OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode), also known as organic laser display, organic light-emitting semiconductor. Under the action of the electric field, the holes generated by the anode OLED and the electrons generated by the cathode will move, and they will be injected into the hole transport layer and the electron transport layer respectively, and migrate to the light-emitting layer. When the two meet in the light-emitting layer, an energy exciton is generated, which excites the light-emitting molecule and eventually produces visible light.

OLED has the advantages of bright colors and low power consumption, and its display technology has the characteristics of self-illumination; Through a very thin organic material coating and glass substrate, when there is an electric current passing through, these organic materials will emit light, so that not only the display screen has a large viewing angle, but also power consumption can be reduced because there is less LED backlight. Another great feature is that it can be bent in terms of the design of screen applications, so it can be used for a wider range of designs, such as curved screens and under-screen fingerprint recognition.

According to different material types, the OLED material industry can be subdivided into two major fields: small molecule OLED materials and polymer OLED materials (also known as PLED materials). This project focuses on the technological breakthrough of key materials in the upstream of OLED display, obtains OLED core materials with independent intellectual property rights, realizes independent innovation of key materials, breaks the technical blockade of foreign enterprises, and promotes the localization process of OLED supporting industries.

The project can rely on the mature technology of TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “TCL CSOT”).
