Well-known enterprises such as AVIC, CIMC Group, Tianjin Zhongke Shenyun Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. and French Fermat Group have settled in Siping, forming the advantages of industrial cluster. As the city with the shortest transportation radius for FAW's commercial vehicle plant, Siping can fully utilize FAW's commercial vehicle OEM resource advantages and better undertake the transfer and radiation of the automobile industry from Changchun.

Jilin Lishu Economic Development Zone (North Area) is located at the intersection of Gongzhuling, Shuangliao and Lishu, two cities and one county. It is an important grain production area in Northeast China, an important commercial logistics distribution center in the north of Siping City, and an important node city of “one core and three belts” of Siping City. On August 29, 2023, Jilin Provincial People's Government approved the integration of Jilin Liaohe Agricultural Reclamation Management Zone and Jilin Lishu Economic Development Zone. The new name after the integration is the Jilin Lishu Economic Development Zone, and the Jilin Liaohe Agricultural Reclamation Management Area has been removed from the development zone management list.
